What a day. Another day that din't start out great. At school at 6:30 in the morning and Cassidy Nelson's mom comes in and Cassidy is at home sicker than a dog. One down. She was in the fly consols. Get to the meet and Alex Gilbert-Schrag has to scratch becuause she feels ( and looks) terrible. Wow.
Mongolian Grill was great. Everyone got enough food and some even had dessert. OUr Mongolian Grill in town is better than the one in Corvallis, but it's fun to eat somewhere else.
When Kristin and I got home we went bra shopping. What a thrill. Since we were close to Best Buy, we went over and bought a couple of CD's. If you have your laptop in Az. we will bring the new Fall out Boys (infinity on high) and my choice, the Goo Goo Dolls/ Let Love In. I'm listening to it now and it is great. I made a good choice.
Kristin and I are not going to eat dinner since we had a late lunch.
OK, I guess I better get back to the meet info. As you can tell by the picture, we won the girls meet. Everyone swam awsome. I am very pleased. Rochelle brok a min. on her last chance ever in the 400 free relay. Crystal went a 1:00 and Allison went a 57.8. Tyler Duran was the 4th and she went a 00 too. They went under a 4 and moved up two places to 3rd. The girls 200 free relay redeemed themselves after yesterday, with a huge win. They beat Sprague. Natascha went a 25 for the first time ever and Hannah was a low 25. Tyler and Amber swam great too. It might be a new school record, so might the 200 med. relay. Hannah had a great 100 back and tied for first with a club kid. Her finish was awsome and that is he tied. I was very happy for her.
The boys swam great. Before the meet today, I talked to the South coach and he had scored out the meet. Redmand out of reach, WS 208, SP 206, MCN 182. We had alot of points to make up. You need to say something to Allan. He had the meet of his life. A 2:04 in the 200 and a 5:46 in the 500. I was pleased with him. Jeremy is a double champ and went a 50.3 in the 100. Nobody was even close to him. Paul swam out of his head again. 56+ in the 100. My other two boys who swam 58's yesterday dropped to 57's. They gave it their all. The boys' 200 free realy wanted to move to third so they could get a medal and of course to beat WS. They did it. Kraig, Paul and ross all swam high 24's and Shawn swam a 26.0. The smiles on their faces were huge. Now for the race of the meet. Going into the 400 Free Relay, we were in 4th behind WS by 4 points. We needed to be two places higher than them to tie for third. After yesterday we were seeded 3 with a 3:44. The 1st place team had a 3:32 and 2-3:33. i thought we might go a 3:34. I had Jeremy lead off becuase we needed a huge lead. He gave it to us. He went a 50.7. Next was Joshie and he went a 53+ and we were still ahead by quite a bit. James was next and went a 54 which was two seconds better than what he had ever gone before. The little freshman ws anchor. We were still in the lead but he was swimming against two guys that went 50.0. Oh my gosh. What a race. Remember the freshman is a 500 swimmer, not a sprinter. The final Redmond 3:31, Sprague 3:32, McNary 3:30. We won. The place erupted. The boy's made it to state and we beat WS by 5 point for third place in the meet. If that med. Relay hadn't DQ'ed, we would have been second.
AdamBurger went a 2:09 in the 200 and a 5:45 in the 500. I almost lost Katelyn Lindsey. She was so sick, but she swam 3 sec. faster than yesterday. We really had some gutty swims.
Call tonight if you want to talk. Your dad is at Wrestling. I'm glad you got to talk to him this morning. (now I'm listening to the new fall out boy) Not bad.
Love,
MOM
